ASMENET MET programs and faculty are represented at ASME by the Mechanical Engineering Technology Department Heads Committee (METDHC).  Each MET, Design Drafting, or related program granting a Baccalaureate degree or Associate degree and accredited by TAC of ABET is represented on the committee by a department head, program coordinator, or faculty member designated by a chair or coordinator to serve in that capacity.  The committee sponsors 3 or 4 technical sessions at the ASME IMECE and meets both at ASME IMECE and at the ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition.

Simul8 is a visual discrete event simulation software tool that provides bottom line performance measures and insights into how any configuration of machines and people will perform in combination. Simul8 is available at a very reasonable price.  An evaluation copy and student manual is available on this site.  An excellent download if you want to know more about discrete event simulation.
