Welcome to the Ball State University Adaptive Computer Technology Website. We have recently redesigned the site and hope that you find the site very useful.

     The ACT lab has been undergoing some updating. Two new PCs were added to the lab. They are stations one and eight in the lab. We encourage any student registered with Disabled Student Development to come by and check them out.

   Also, the lab has added new scanners. Users will find the new scanners very easy to operate. They are located at stations one, two, and seven. Another new scanner will be added to the lab in the near future.

    For fall semester, we are going to be upgrading the laptops for the loaner program. In addition to upgrading the laptops, we will also be upgrading the Window-Eyes screen-reading software. We are always evaluating new software for the lab. If you are interested in trying out software, please stop by the lab during our staffed hours and we would be glad to assist you.
