I
was born in Frankfort, Ind., on June 25, 1981, to Tony and Andrea Reddington.
During my early youth, I spent most of my time riding my bike through mud
puddles, playing baseball, and basically stirring up the standard amount
of mischief in which a young boy often feels he is entitled.
However,
when I reached the tender age of seven, my often misunderstood sense of
"creativity" was directed towards a different outlet of entertainment when
my grandfather placed a silver trumpet in my lap. While music had
always flowed freely in abundance through my family's veins, naturally,
I also developed a solid interest in the art form, but had never had the
opportunity to pursue music physically through instrumentation. (After
all, how much opportunity does a seven year old usually get?)
Continuing
up through elementary and junior high, I became more and more involved
with music with the help of private lessons, marching band, and jazz ensembles.
Little did I know that my passion for music was just beginning to burn.
When I was 14 years old, I began to branch off, musically, and decided
to take up the electric bass guitar. I suppose the reason for this
could partially be attributed to the fact that the trumpet didn't exactly
play an attentive role in the classic rock music that I often listened
to though my growing years.
It was at
this time that I realized exactly how great of an impact music could have
on a person's life; and furthermore, how great of an impact it already
had on mine. As time has rolled on, music has brought, and
undoubtedly will continue to bring, exuberant amounts of joy, motivation,
dedication, and happiness to my soul. I couldn't possibly imagine
a single day without the incandescent sounds of music.
