Past Events

2005- 2006 was a good year for us.  A look at what we have done thus far:

Bed Races
We started off the year by participating in the Homecoming tradition of Bed Races, an anual event where teams dress up and fly down Riverside on a bed.  Don't get it, there are pictures.

Sukkot
We celebrated Sukkot by building our very own sukkah and camping out at the scramble light for a couple of days.  We raised money for Save a Child's Heart and handed out information on the first Thanksgiving.

Hillel Dinner
All of Hillel went to the new ZBT house to break it in Jewish style.  We enjoyed a homecooked dinner and many laughs.

Hanukah Party
For Hanukkah the Hillel put on a Brown Ball Bash with a side of White Elephant.  That's right, we exchanged gifts while munching some excellent falafel.

Tu'Beshvat
Hillel helped the temple run their sedar celebrating the Jewish Earth day.

Jewish Heritage Week 2006
Monday: Purim Carnival
Tuesday: Day off
Wednesday: movie night, "The Frisco Kid"
Thursday: Israeli Culture night, featuring a Hookah bar
Friday: Annual Dinner, Services

Student Foundation's Scavenger Hunt
Three teams competed for $500 in a scavenger hunt run by Student Foundation. We got second place, barely missing out on first.

End of the Year BBQ
We said goodbye to our seniors with Shish Kabobs and wonderful pitch-in food.
