Bushism #2,458

Remarks By President Bush at Victory 2004 Rally:

My opponent seems to be willing to say almost anything he thinks will benefit him politically. After standing on the stage, after the debates, I made it very plain, we will not have an all-volunteer army. And yet, this week -- we will have an all-volunteer army. (Applause.) Let me restate that. (Laughter.) We will not have a draft. (Applause.) No matter what my opponent tries to tell people and scare them, we will have an all-volunteer army. (Applause.) The only person talking about a draft is my opponent. The only politicians who have supported a draft are Democrats. And the best way to avoid a draft is to vote for me. (Applause.)
Um... good recovery?

From the Home Front

WANE-TV Coverage You Can Count On: Wildebeests Escape F.W. Children's Zoo:

This morning around 11, five wildebeests escaped from the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. Fort Wayne police, Allen County Animal Care and Control, and zoo officials all went searching for the animals. About an hour after their disappearance, four were believed to be cornered on 4th Street. Another animal was in a field on Westbrook and Young, with an apparent broken front leg. Officers were shooting tranquilizer darts at it to sedate the wildebeest and bring it back to the zoo.
(They're large deer-like animals.... I know you were wondering.)

Quotes are Amusing

Your thought of the day, sent to me via Internet:

I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.
