Personal Learning Project
Step 7. Turning in the Project and Grading

I expect the following to be turned in: a cover sheet, a
project, references (and critique of them), and reflection.
What should be on the cover sheet?
The cover sheet should be word processed. It includes:
- The title of the project.
- Your name and how many hours you worked on the project. (If other
worked with you, you should include them and what they did.)
- If it is a group project, all members of the group should sign the cover sheet.
- If the project is a published web site, provide the address (i.e., URL).
- If the project is a zip disk, floppy, videotape, or other media, indicate what the media is (and make sure the
project title and your name are on the media).
My project is not on paper.
If the project is relatively small, you can email it to me as an
attachment.
You can turn in a disk (pc formatted floppy or zip), CD, or
videotape (VHS or 8mm digital video) containing a power point
presentation, web site, paper, etc. Make sure you put your project title
and your name on all media.
If you have published your project on the web, make sure you
turn in a cover sheet with the web site address (URL) on it.
What are the grading criteria? (these are on syllabus too)
Appropriateness of topic and questions.
Appropriate sources of
information that are evaluated properly.
Quality of product (e.g., artistic craftsmanship, minimal grammar
errors, and content) and appropriateness of medium. Note that
you are encouraged to learn to use media and technology and
consideration will be given for you trying to learn new media.
Clarity and nature of insights described in the
Reflections.
Who does the grading?
The professor does the grading (although sometimes I use a grader.)
Graders are trained to use the same grading rubric I use and to check with me
if they are uncertain.
How long does it take to grade them?
It will take a while to grade projects, often several days, and sometimes
longer. Please be patient.
Who do I contact if I think my grade is incorrect?
Grades can be wrong. Sometimes recording errors occur.
Sometimes there are miscommunications. But most grades are correct.
Contact me if you have any questions about the grade.
