Indiana Ranked Seventh Most Active State for Economic Development

Indiana’s focus on creating and sustaining jobs earned the Hoosier state a ranking of seventh most active state for economic development in 2003 by Site Selection magazine. This ranking, as part of The Governor’s Cup awards, is the third time that Indiana has ranked in the top ten. In addition, Indianapolis and Richmond were recognized in separate categories for their new and expanded facilities. These awards distinguish Indiana as an area of growth for businesses and companies looking to expand, possibly creating new job opportunities within the state. This recognition speaks well of the state’s efforts to make Indiana’s future brighter for its residents and its youth.
