An interview can be a grueling process of being bombarded with questions but it is also an opportunity for you to interview your potential employer. As Wil Davis, CEO of Ontario Systems mentioned in his presentation on leadership, there is more to finding happiness in a job than the money or job title; you need to know about the organizational culture, values, mission, and community involvement. Though you can find some of this information through Internet research or community news, there are other details that you can learn only by asking. You need to determine before the interview what you are looking for in an organization and focus your questions on those characteristics. Asking questions about issues you are truly concerned about shows an interest in the position and allows you to walk away with a better sense of the culture of the organization.
