Working, Living, Socializing
Designing with existing structures to enhance urban living

Wabash, Indiana harbors a variety of historic attractions and has maintained the built integrity of its downtown. However, with competing urban sprawl to the North - a new Walmart, strip malls, dining venues, and a major four-lane highway, intentional preservation and planning for the downtown is of the essence. Not only does this design project preserve and restore the historic era in which these buildings and communities originally existed, but it integrates twenty first century technologies to create a sustainably viable mixed-use environment in which working, living, and socializing can co-exist. Such integration allows Wabash to become one of the inaugural green historic downtowns in Indiana.
