Student Thesis Project Awards Back

Beginning in the fall of 2004, CAP:IC will begin awarding annual recognition on top student thesis projects that have a focus in the Indianapolis region.  Students, both undergraduate and graduate, will be recognized at a year-end reception with alumni and partners to open an exhibit of Indianapolis-focused student work.

To be eligible, students should be in contact during the development of their thesis projects with CAP:IC.  The Center maintains a list of project ideas, but any thesis project is eligible as long as it has a location in or connection to the Indianapolis area.

Projects will be evaluated on several factors, including:

  • Multi-disciplinary development or application of thesis project.
  • Creativity and introduction of new concepts.
  • Relevancy to current issues in Indianapolis, including current initiatives and plans.
  • Awareness and respect for physical and cultural context.
  • Involvement of community, firms, agencies, businesses, and/or organizations in thesis process.
  • Presentation and communication techniques.
