Drafting Objectives

Directions: Use this exercise to practice drafting objectives for an instructional unit you taught recently.
  1. Essential Components:
  2. a.) List keywords that describe the behavior to be exhibited by students in the cells under "Behaviors." For ideas, consult classification schemes such as the ones found at the end of the chapter.

    b.) Using keywords, list the major "Objects" (i.e., content, attitude) in the spaces provided on the left of Worksheet 1.

  3. Optional Components:
  4. In the cells, make notes about Target Groups, Conditions, Performance Criteria, and Performance Stability

  5. Using the table created in Part 1, write statements that draw the components together into coherent objectives. Record them in the space provided in Part 2.
