In this photo you see the velcro tape on the dash to hold the mat and detector mount. In the center near the back you can also see a grommet that the cord comes through. I removed the windshield and drilled a 1/2" hole to install the grommet and then routed the radar detector wire through the grommet.
This is the bottom side of the mat. The mount was cut to size, formed to the dash, and then pop riveted to the mat. I installed a substantial piece of velcro to the mat and to the dash.
This the top side of the mat. I used another piece of plastic for the pop rivets. Basically the mat is trapped between two pieces of plastic which are pop riveted together.
The Valentine 1 optional audio unit is installed in the left fairing pocket. This is connected to the Kennedy Cell Set and make the radar detector audible through the head set.
