N-Line Trailer

After a couple flower sniffing trips with my wife. We realized that being limited to the space provided by the saddlebags and trunk was very limited and took some of the fun out of the trip. At the 2002 Wing-Ding I looked at all of the trailers and brought home a magnitude of literature. What I could not get out of my mind was the Uni-go trailer which Greg Smith was pulling behind his K1200LT with his wife as a passenger as he chased me through the mountains approaching San Diego. However, the Uni-go just did not seem to have adequate cargo space. But I really liked the idea of a one-wheel trailer. There was only one line of travel to worry about and they were small enough that you could actually roll into the hotel room if you wanted.

While doing some research I discovered N-Line Trailers which offered a one wheel trailer. This trailer while not as attractive as the Uni-go trailer, had about twice the amount of cargo space (11 cu ft). I decided that I would purchase one of the trailers. My only hesitation was that I knew that most people would not be interested in a one wheeled trailer and that the resale value would not be so good.  I posted my intentions to purchase on the Motorcycle Tourer's Forum and soon got a message from Bob Moore that there was on on Ebay. I placed a bit but then went on a last minute to ride. However, I was the only bidder and Ed Gunderson's trailer was now mine. Ed crated the trailer and arranged to ship it from Oregon to Indiana. The trailer was $900.00 and the shipping was $260.00 resulting in a total of $1160.00. I felt that this was very reasonable and would allow me to recover my costs in the event that I did not like the trailer.

I have only had the trailer for a short while but am very pleased with the space. It pulls very easily. In fact you hardly notice that it is there. It is basically a cargo trailer with a swivel mount that mounts directly in a receiver hitch. The wheel is a motorcycle wheel and has an adjustable shock.

I will eventually have the trailer painted gray to match the Corbin seat and the bikes trim.
